Fake Documents 3 Women Charged
Immigration unit police officials at Coimbatore airport, along with Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and city police detained three women on charges of making an attempt to travel to Sharjah with fake travel documents on Thursday night.The security agencies found Sheik Naina (37) of Mahim, as well as Durga (42) and Lakshmi (32) of West Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh attempting to travel to the foreign destination as house maids.Verification of documents revealed that passports and visas were intact, while immigration documents proved to be forged.Under the provisions of the Indian Passport Act, the three were detained for further investigation.Peelamedu police are investigating.
