Anna's Sayings Displayed
The sayings of former Chief Minister C.N.Annadurai displayed by the Highways Department along Avanashi Road in Coimabtore. The State Highways Department has chosen flex board banners as a medium for propagating the ideologies of former Chief Minister, C.N. Annadurai. They will be placed along the highways. This is being done to mark the birth centenary celebrations of the former Chief Minister. Even as the State Government was making arrangements for a year long celebrations in the memory of C.N. Annadurai, the Highways Department came up with the idea of flex boards at road junctions. The highways officials stated that the boards will carry the ‘Pon Mozhigal’ of C.N. Annadurai. One of the ‘Pon Mozhigal’(golden utterances) of Mr.Annadurai that was displayed on the board was ‘Manamum, Udalum Magilchiyaga Irunthalthan Urpathi Thiran Adhigarikkum’ meaning ‘production levels would increase only if your body and mind was fit and healthy’.
These golden words chosen for the boards were easy to understand and practice. The choice of places for these boards has been done in such a way that motorists while waiting for the signal would have the time to read the boards. In Coimbatore city flex boards had been placed at 13 places. All the divisions of the Highways in Coimbatore District have put up boards in importance places, officials said.
