The police on Friday intercepedt two persons on a motorcycle near Kuniamuthur and seized 200 detonators and 220 gelatine sticks from them. K.C. Mahali, Commissioner of Police, Coimbatore City, said the police personnel on patrol duty intercepted Karthikeyan (19) and Palanisamy (50) on suspicion and on examination of their bag, found detonators and gelatine sticks. Investigations revealed that the two had procured the same from a licensed explosives vendor Natarajan of Madukkarai. He has also been arrested and remanded.
