Coimbatore Malayali Samajam is organising Onam celebrations on September 12. According to a press release that was issued here by the Samajam, the celebrations will commence at 6 p.m. at the Samajam Auditorium located at 42, 9th Street Extension, Gandhipuram. V. Palanikumar, District Collector will be the chief guest. V.K.B. Nair, President of Samajam will preside over the function, which is expected to draw a large number of Keralites who have made Coimbatore their home. Ms. Gayathri Govind will perform dance, orchestra and mimicry programme, the press release added.
