Elected :
Two principals of the affiliated colleges of Bharathiar University have been elected to the Syndicate. According to a release, C. Loganathan, Principal, Maharaja Arts and Science College, Coimbatore, and T. Veluchamy, Principal, Dr. SNS Rajalakshmi College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore, have been selected for a term of three years from September 29, 2008.
Illusions 08 :
A cultural and literary competition for school students called “Illusions 08” on October 11 will be held at Nani Palkhivala auditorium. Students from VI standard to XII standard can participate. Registration is at 8 a.m. Students have to bring their ID cards for registration.
Dhasar Music Fest :
Vasanthakaveri Cultural and Educational Trust will organise Dhasar Music Fest on Vijayadhasami, October 9. It will commence at 6.30 p.m. at the Sri Raghavendraswamy Temple, Sullivan Street, according to a press release issued here.
Holiday For Passport Office :
The Coimbatore passport office will remain closed on October 8 and 9 for Ayutha Pooja and Vijaya Dashami, a release said.
