Coimbatore Erode Passenger Train

In order to clear the extra rush of passengers on the Coimbatore – Erode sector, a short distance passenger train will be operated between the two cities. It will be a mainline electrical multiple unit (MEMU) type train with eight coaches. A release from the Southern Railway said that the train would leave Coimbatore Junction (Train Number 607 A) at 9.30 a.m. and would stop at Coimbatore North, Peelamedu, Singanallur, Irugur, Sulur Road, Somanur, Vanjipalayam, Tirupur, Uthukuzhi, Vijayamangalam, Ingur, Perundurai and Thottipalayam and reach Erode at 12.50 p.m. In the return direction, it would leave Erode at 3.25 p.m. and reach Coimbatore at 6 p.m., the release added.
