The Central Institute for Research on Cotton Technology (CIRCOT) of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research will organise a “Clean Cotton Picking Programme” at Vadapudur Village on December 22. According to S. Venkatakrishnan, Officer-in-charge, CIRCOT, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University campus, the programme will be conducted under the aegis of the National Agricultural Innovation Project. The programme will specify the do’s and don’ts to farmers while picking cotton, on-farm storage, transportation, etc.
