TNAU offers consultancy services
With the thrust given to commercialisation of agriculture, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) is keen to promote professionalism in agriculture in the form of agribusiness, market-led production and technology-driven agriculture.The university, in this context, is offering consultancy services on various fields of agriculture like landscaping and gardening, establishment and production of bio-control agents, a TNAU release said here today.Consultancy would also be offered in establishment of bio-fertiliser production unit, setting up laboratories, technology for solid waste management, water and wastewater quality testing, land evaluation for agriculture, horticulture and forestry, precision farming system, preparation of bankable project reports for starting agribusiness, mushroom production units and vermi composting, the release said.
Saying that farmers, entrepreneurs, agro-industries, SHGs, unemployed youth and farm graduates may utilise the opportunity, it said that TNAU scientists would offer consultancy on cost basis either as an individual or as a team (institutional) to cater to the needs of the clientele.Interested persons can contact the Director, Agribusiness Development of the University, the release said.
