Seed Certification Department’s Request To Farmers
Farmers are told to confirm the variety and validity period of the lot before purchasing seeds from licensed seed selling points. They should get the purchase bill containing details like variety, lot number, validity period, price, date of purchase and signature of the buyer, without fail. Farmers are also told to retain the bill, some seed samples and seed containers along with tags or labels for future reference. In case of any problem, a written complaint can be referred to the Seed Inspector or Deputy Director of Seed Inspection, along with the bill and samples.
