Podanur-Pollachi-Dindigul railway line closed !
The metre gauge railway line between Podanur-Pollachi-Dindigul will be closed for gauge conversion work from May 26. Consequently, there will be no train service in the Podanur-Pollachi and Pollachi-Dindigul sections, a southern railway release said on Friday.Train No.771 Podanur-Dindigul passenger on May 25 would be the last train in the MG section, the release said.
The section would be converted to broad gauge, it said, but did not mention the time frame for completion of the project.
