Phonics Based Language Learning Programme
Programme for learning English to begin soon
MIKIDS, a phonics-based language-learning programme from SIP Academy India Pvt. Ltd is being launched in Tamil Nadu. The programme will help students pronounce English words with the right stress and intonation, and also read fluently.
Skills
The focus will also be on skills such as listening, writing, spelling, comprehension, vocabulary and grammar. The course uses interactive software that teaches through stories, songs and rhymes.
Over ten schools in Coimbatore, and a few others in Chennai, Madurai, Salem, Tirupur and Puducherry will introduce the course during the coming academic year.
For starters, the programme, taught as their English subject, will be for students in LKG, UKG and Class I. Teachers will be trained in phonic rules.
