Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, Coimbatore, has announced that cellular signal transmission towers have been commissioned in the district at Othakkalmandapam, Sencherimalai, Vedapatti and Chinnavedampatti. It has introduced prepaid facility on BSNL Wireless in Local Loop Service with effect from September 1, as a promotional offer. Talk time of Rs. 900 will be free with a validity period of 90 days. Call charges for BSNL network within Tamil Nadu would be 60 paise a minute and call charges for other networks within Tamil Nadu would be 90 paise a minute.
