The District Industries Centre seized goods that did not have ISI mark after a random checking at an electrical shop in the city recently. S. Asokan, general manager of the centre, told presspersons here that the search and seizure was conducted under the Quality Control Order 2003. The officials seized miniature circuit breakers, CFL lamps and cable that did not have ISI mark. This would be an ongoing process and raids would be conducted on stockists of such products too. Mr. Asokan explained that 17 electrical goods were under the mandatory category for ISI mark. Criminal case would be filed against the proprietor of the electrical shop, Mr. Asokan added.
