Adventure Para Sailing Camp
National Adventure Foundation (Tamil Nadu and Puducherry chapter), Coimbatore is organising an adventure para sailing camp from December 17 to 23 at Sainik School, Amaravathi Nagar near Udumalpet. A release from Shyamala Jayashankar, Director of NAF said that the adventure para sailing camp is sponsored by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports to kindle the spirit of adventure in the minds of today’s youth and to foster the spirit of adventure, teamwork and provide positive stimulation for their all round development.
The objective was to provide the opportunity for holistic development of rural youth to help them realisation their potential. Adventure also helps in developing leadership qualities and helps to strengthen secular outlook through creative expression. School and college students in the region would be taking part. T. Shirts, caps and refreshments would be provided to the participants.
Principal of Sainik School, Amaravathi Nagar would inaugurate the camp on December 17, 2008 at 4 p.m. Para sailing schedule for every day would be from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. subject to weather conditions. One hundred participants would take part in the camp. Hot air ballooning would also be demonstrated at Sainik School, Amaravathi Nagar by NAF team.
