TNAU On-Line Examination
Tamil Nadu Agricultural University has (TNAU) become the first agricultural university in the country to conduct examination on-line. About 800 students wrote their mid-semester exams online, being implemented from this academic year 2007-08, on Tuesday, in the hall provided with Wi-Fi connectivity using their laptops. For mid-semester, the total mark was 20, out of which 15 would be for objective type of questions and five for subjective, official sources said.

Students would be provided with papers for answering subjective questions,if they wanted.The students can view the question paper only during the time set by the teacher, after entering the password which is announced in the exam hall. The students can review the entire questions before they start answering, the sources said adding during answering also, they can review the unanswered questions. However, answered questions cannot be reviewed and the question paper once answered by the student with a particular ID number cannot be re-answered.
The student should answer within the set time and after finishing, the answer would be stored in a separate file and mailed to the teachers concerned for review and evaluation of answers, they said. The online final exams with a total mark of 40 would also be conducted in early June 2008 for this batch, the sources said.
