The selection for the Marga Schulze Scholarship, a merit scholarship for the higher education of girl students with visual impairment, will be conducted at the Avinashilingam University on September 6. Offered by the Marga-Schulze Foundation, Germany, the scheme provides merit scholarships of Rs. 12,000, Rs. 15,000, and Rs. 18,000 for students undergoing graduate, B.Ed., and post-graduate courses. The scheme is implemented by UDIS Forum, a network of parents, persons with disabilities, professionals and voluntary organisations facilitating employment and empowerment of persons with disabilities. The selected students will be announced on the same day.
