TNAU Inks MoU
Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) and Shri Shakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology (SIET) here have inked a MOU for developing research capabilities and improvement, awareness creation in energy auditing and management including renewable energy sources utilisation.
The main objectives of the MOU was to organize National and International seminars by identifying thematic topics of International importance and mobilizing institutional support from organisations like Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency, Tamil Nadu Enegy Development Agency, Bureau of Energy Efficiency, NABARD, UNDP and Petroleum Conservation research Association and also Nationalised Banks for strengthening R and D on Bio-energy. Both the organisations would jointly mobilize financial support for strengthening R and D Programmes on energy management, conservation and sustainable resource development in new and renewable sources of energy, a TNAU release said today.This would help in human resource development among various institutions and serve as a model to other institutes having similar interests, it claimed.
