3 family members test negative for flu
The blood samples of the three members of a family, who were admitted to the Government hospital here for suspected symptoms of swine flu, have tested negative, hospital sources said.The reports received from National Communicable Diseases, Delhi, this evening stated that samples of a couple and their 9-year old daughter who returned here from Atlanta, tested negative, the sources said.
The family members were admitted to the hospital, when the girl complained of fever and throat pain on June 3.All the three would be discharged either tonight or tomorrow, the sources said.
Meanwhile, reports of "viral load" (intensity of virus) of the two confirmed cases were yet to be received from Delhi, for carrying out further treatment, the sources said.
A 34 year-old woman and her five year-old son, who had come from United States to Coimbatore on May 28, had tested positive for the H1N1 virus. They have been kept in the quarantine ward here.
